Education Background
Dr. Kimuli is a Part-time Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics. He holds a PhD in Mathematics, Master of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Education – all of Makerere University.
He boasts of vast working experience as a teacher/trainer/facilitator of Mathematics in different capacities and as a researcher. He has facilitated in Bio-mathematics at the African Institute for Strategic Services and Development (AFRISA) under the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources & Biosecurity, Makerere University (2014 – 2019); lectured at Bugema University (2016 – 2018 ) and taught mathematics at Taibah International School (2009 – 2013). Currently, he is a Trainer/Facilitator in Algebra and Number theory at the Uganda Mathematical Society (2017 – to date).
Dr. Kimuli has been at the centre of several developments in the Department of Mathematics including (but not limited to) teaching both graduate and undergraduate students; curriculum reviews and developments for BSc. (Education) mathematics component, BSc. Statistics and MSc. Mathematics programs.
He has also participated in over twenty International Summer Schools on Pure and Computational Mathematics plus a number of Seminars, Colloquia, and Invited Talks. In July 2016, he won the best East African University Mathematics Program (EAUMP) Summer School Project on Dedekind Rings (held at the University of Rwanda).
He is an active member of the Eastern Africa Algebra Research Group (EAALG) and the Uganda Mathematical Society (UMS).
